ITACA Go/No-Go Test
The computerised version of the classic neurocognitive test for the assessment of working memory.
A go/no go test is a two-step verification process that uses two boundary conditions, or a binary classification. The test is passed only when the go condition has been met and also the no go condition has been failed. In psychology, go/no go tests are used to measure a participant's capacity for sustained attention and response control. This application allows simultaneous recording of the user's EEG signal.

Here we present the computerized version of Go/No-Go task. This test is broadly applied to assess user’s sustained attention and response/inhibition control in cognitive neuroscience research. This app is provided as a evaluation complement of ITACA NF framework.
What does this test consist of?
In this test, two types of stimulus are presented. Users have to press the space bar in their keyboard whenever the “Go” stimulus is presented and do not have to respond in case of a “No-Go” stimulus.
What does this implementation include?
The version implemented in MEDUSA© is provided with the following functionalities:
- It is possible to use this app with conjuntion of any type of biosignal device that can be connected to MEDUSA© Platform via LSL. This makes possible to analyze interesting physiological information related to the cognitive processes involved during task performance.
- Relevant session information such as identifier of the user who performed the task, number of run or session can be included in recording file. This is intended to help in subsequent analyses.
- The total number of stimulus presented can be chosen at configuration panel. Furthermore, the percentage of stimulus that will be "No-Go" is also a selectable parameter.
- You can choose the duration of the stimulus. That is, how long the stimulus is presented if the space bar is not pressed.
- A fixation cue (in the form of a cross) is included and can be selected to be presented prior to the stimulus.
